his painting is considered one of the Parmigianino's greatest works, and it is easy to see why. The painting is a stunning portrayal of a chubby little cherub, with his left foot resting on a bow and holding an arrow in his right hand.

One of the most remarkable features of Bow Carving Amor is its incredible level of detail. Parmigianino was known for his attention to detail, and this painting is a perfect example of his skill. The cherub's hair and wings are rendered with incredible precision, and even the texture of the bow is visible.

The Kiss, Francesco Hayez, 1859, Oil on canvas, 11 The Kiss, Francesco Hayez, 1859, Oil on canvas, 110 cm × 88 cm
🏛️: Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan

The painting is widely regarded as a masterpiece of Italian Romanticism, a movement that flourished in the 19th century and was characterized by its emphasis on emotion and passion. "The Kiss" perfectly encapsulates the Romantic ideal of intense emotion and feeling, as it portrays the lovers caught up in the moment of their embrace.

The figures are portrayed with a remarkable degree of realism, which is particularly evident in their facial expressions and body language. The woman's eyes are closed and her lips are slightly parted, indicating her surrender to the moment, while the man's eyes are open, suggesting a more contemplative and thoughtful demeanor.

Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna

Arcimboldo depicted Winter as on old man whose skin is rough and wrinkled and whose craggy features are sculpted out of the folds and cracks in the tree’s bark. Winter in fact is made from a single tree and its parts, while the other three paintings were made from a combination of different items.

Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York

Umberto Boccioni's "The City Rises" is a masterful work of Futurist art. Created in 1910, the painting depicts the modern city as a chaotic, dynamic, and ever-evolving entity, and represents the birth of the Futurist movement.

The painting features a frenzied scene of horse-drawn carts and automobiles racing through the streets, with people, animals, and buildings all jostling for space. The background is filled with the smokestacks and chimneys of the city's factories, creating a sense of industrial power and energy.

Church of Santa Maria Assunta, Sarzana, Italy

This work of art in fact, was the foundation of one of the main Medieval pictorial styles and it influenced many artists until Renaissance.

It was painted by Maestro Guglielmo, literally "Master Guglielmo".
Jesus is depicted in the style of the "triumphant Christ". That means he is crucified, but he is not showing pain and misery.
He is actually looking at us and the painter depicted his muscles with color gradients, in contrast with the thick dark line of Jesus' shape.

"David", Michelangelo, 1501-1504, marble Galleria "David", Michelangelo, 1501-1504, marble
Galleria dell'Accademia, Florence

Michelangelo's David has become one of the most recognized works of Renaissance sculpture; a symbol of strength and youthful beauty. The colossal size of the statue alone impressed Michelangelo's contemporaries. Vasari described it as "certainly a miracle that of Michelangelo, to restore to life one who was dead," and then listed all of the largest and most grand of the ancient statues that he had ever seen, concluding that Michelangelo's work surpassed "all ancient and modern statues, whether Greek or Latin, that have ever existed."

Like the two-dimensional and profile figures, the scene organized in horizontal zones known as registers, the use of the hierarchical scale, the symbols.

Zoomorphism, what does this word mean? It derives Zoomorphism, what does this word mean?

It derives from the Greek zōon, meaning "animal", and morphē, meaning "shape" or "form". So Zoomorphism means assigning a person, event, object or a deity with animalistic characteristics.

"The Thinker", Auguste Rodin, 1880, 200×130×140 "The Thinker", Auguste Rodin, 1880, 200×130×140 cm
Musée Rodin, Parigi

It is one of the most iconic sculptures of all time and it depicts a man sitting in deep thought, with his chin resting on his hand and his elbow resting on his knee. The sculpture is cast in bronze and stands at over 6 feet tall.

The figure in "The Thinker" is often thought to be a representation of the poet Dante Alighieri, who is the main character in Rodin's Gates of Hell sculpture. However, Rodin himself stated that the figure was a "simple thinker" and not intended to be any specific person.

The sculpture has been widely interpreted as a symbol of contemplation and introspection, with the figure lost in deep thought. The muscular form and intense expression on the figure's face convey a sense of power and determination.

"The Thinker" was initially intended as a part of a larger commission for the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, but it was eventually exhibited as a standalone piece and became an instant success. Today, it can be found in several museums and public spaces around the world, including the Rodin Museum in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The Thinker is considered one of the most important sculptures of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and continues to be a source of inspiration for artists and thinkers around the world.
Vincent van Gogh's "Sunflowers" series is one of t Vincent van Gogh's "Sunflowers" series is one of the most iconic and recognizable collections of art in the world. The series, which consists of several paintings and drawings of sunflowers in vases, was created by Van Gogh in 1888 and 1889 while he was living in Arles, France.

The paintings are known for their bold use of color and thick, impasto brushstrokes. The sunflowers themselves are depicted in a variety of stages of blooming, and are arranged in a way that creates a sense of movement and energy within the composition.

One of the most famous paintings in the series, "Sunflowers" (1888), features a vase of sunflowers in a yellow-orange color scheme. The bright yellow petals of the flowers are set against a blue background, creating a striking contrast and emphasizing the vibrant color of the blooms. This painting is considered a masterpiece of post-Impressionism, a movement that Van Gogh was heavily influenced by.
